Pass Plus

Pass Plus is a Road Safety Initiative, designed by the DSA, to provide the necessary experience required for first time drivers that is not taught during your normal driving lessons with your Driving Instructor.

It will enable you to develop the skills you have learned with your Instructor, and provide you with experience to plan ahead more effectively, anticipate certain hazards which occur during everyday road and traffic conditions, and build up your confidence on the roads.

Tuition comprises of 6 Hours and covers:-

  • Motorway Driving

  • Dual Carriageway Driving

  • Driving on Country Roads

  • Town Centre Driving

  • Night Time Driving

  • Adverse Weather Conditions

These experiences are beneficial to first time drivers as you may not have driven in such circumstances and may not be prepared for these occasions should you come across them whilst driving on your own.

Pass Plus is a major benefit to new drivers when attempting to obtain an Insurance Policy on their vehicle for the first time. It is an initiative recognised by most Insurance Companies who will provide a discount on the Policy as you will meet the Standard for being considered a Safe Driver.

Upon completion of Pass Plus, you will receive a Pass Certificate from your Instructor. Make sure the Insurance Company of your choice are part of the Pass Plus Scheme and will offer you a discount on your Policy. You will then need to provide your Pass Plus Certificate to your Insurance Company for their records.
