Terms and Conditions

• All Pupils must be in possession of a signed UK Provisional Driving Licence for ‘Group B’ Category vehicles during every hour of tuition they take up with Shell’s Driving School.

• The Peugeot 207 owned by Shell’s Driving School, registration MF59 ZGY, is insured by Master Cover Insurance for all pupils, Driving Standards Agency ADI Qualified Instructors and Driving Standards Agency ADI Qualified Examiners, for all paid Driving Lessons and Practical Driving Tests, providing the pupils are accompanied by the respective DSA ADI Qualified Instructors and Examiners and the respective signed Provisional or Full UK Driving Licences are in their possession.

• Fees charged by Shell’s Driving School can be found on the Prices Section of the website, and are subject to Inflation. (Seasonal Discounts and Special Offers may apply)

• All Gift Certificates must be retained by the pupil for the duration of Tuition Paid For, with Corresponding Gift Certificate Serial Numbers to those retained by Shell’s Driving School.

• Shell’s Driving School will only accept payment upfront by Cash and Cheque methods only, providing a cheque is supported by a cheque guarantee card. Cheques will not be accepted by any pupil under the age of 21 unless supported by a Parent/Guardian.

• Lesson Cancellation – Shell’s Driving School retains the right to request 2 Working Days (48 Hours not including Weekends) notice of lesson cancellation by any pupil. Whilst special/unforeseen circumstances may be taken into consideration, Shell’s Driving School has the right to charge the respective fee for One Hour’s Tuition should the required notice not be given when cancelling any lessons.

• Shell’s Driving School will take every care to ensure a pupil’s tuition is met at the requested time. However, all bookings are made on the assumption that Shell’s Driving School cannot be held responsible for the postponement of tuition due to adverse weather conditions, heavy traffic conditions, vehicle breakdown or any other unforeseeable cause out of our control. Compensation will not be offered for any inconvenience caused due to the postponements mentioned above.

• If any pupil is deemed unfit for tuition in any way by a Shell’s Driving School DSA Qualified ADI Instructor, or deemed unsafe to drive in any way, especially due to self-induced circumstances such as alcohol or drugs, the lesson will be cancelled immediately and the lesson will be charged in full in line with the cancellation charges mentioned above.

• All relevant documentation and learning materials provided by Shell’s Driving School, including Books, Question Papers, Handouts, CD ROMs, and DVDs, remain the property of Shell’s Driving School. Failure to return such items upon request will result in a fee payable by the pupil to Shell’s Driving School.

• Shell’s Driving School maintains the right to withhold their vehicle, Peugeot 207 registration MF59 ZGY, should any pupil make an appointment for their Practical Driving Test with the DSA without the recommendation of a DSA Qualified ADI Shell’s Driving School Instructor, or should the same deem a pupil is not up to the Required Test Standard.

• Shell’s Driving School cannot be held responsible for any Practical Driving Test postponed, cancelled or re-arranged by the DSA. Compensation will not be offered for any inconvenience caused due to the above.

• In addition to the Practical Driving Test Fee charged by the DSA, pupils must pay the usual Lesson Fee charged by Shell’s Driving School for the two hours they are borrowing the vehicle. This fee covers the hour’s tuition before the test, and the hour during the test.

• Shell’s Driving School accepts No Liability for loss or damage to any Personal Property left in their vehicle, Peugeot 207 registration MF59 ZGY.

• Shell’s Driving School retain the right to request pupil’s turn off their mobile phone for the duration of their tuition. As we are a Sole Trader, the Instructor may need to accept a call from new business. However, it is our promise that these calls will not delay a pupil’s tuition in any way. Our Instructors will not accept a telephone call whilst the vehicle is moving or a pupil is in control of the vehicle, in line with the Law and Safety. Unless a call is an emergency, our instructor will not accept any personal calls for the duration of the pupil’s tuition.

• Shell’s Driving School take any complaints against their Instructor and/or their Company very seriously. If the matter cannot be resolved with their Instructor, Shell’s Driving School will try to resolve any matters as soon as they possibly can and within any powers they may have.

• Shell’s Driving School respects and adheres to the strict guidelines set out by the Data Protection Act 1998. Any personal information obtained from, or supplied by, any pupil of Shell’s Driving School will solely be kept for their records only. No personal information from any pupil will be supplied to, or forwarded onto any other person or company. Any personal information supplied to Shell’s Driving School by outside companies will not be kept on record, supplied to or forwarded onto any other person or company.
